Personal Statement

My name is Magdalena Lombardi Plasilova, and I am an oncoplastic breast surgical oncologist with extensive expertise in breast cancer surgery and oncoplasty. My primary focus is to provide the best treatment and cosmetic outcomes for my patients. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to perform a wide range of breast surgeries, from lumpectomy to nipple/areola-sparing mastectomy and sentinel lymph node surgery. My special interest lies in advanced minimally invasive techniques, oncoplastic surgeries, and innovative procedures like tumescent dissection for nipple/areola sparing mastectomy.

My practice is offering patients a second chance lumpectomy with intraoperative radiation for early breast cancer. Additionally, I perform bilateral risk-reducing prophylactic nipple/areola sparing mastectomies for carriers of pathogenic mutations, such as BRCA1 and BRCA2.

I am proud to work with a multidisciplinary breast cancer team dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for our patients. Our collaborative approach includes pioneering new clinical trials and integrating cutting-edge research into everyday practice. My background in basic medical research, artificial intelligence (AI), and biotechnology enables me to offer innovative approaches to efficient healthcare delivery, fostering collaboration and driving innovation within the medical community.

Fluent in multiple languages, I am passionate about expanding international referrals and providing second opinions to patients worldwide. This global perspective helps me stay at the forefront of the latest advancements in breast cancer treatment and ensures that my patients have access to the highest standard of care.

In summary, my commitment to excellence in breast cancer surgery, combined with my passion for innovation and collaboration, allows me to offer my patients the most advanced and effective treatments available. I am dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by breast cancer and look forward to continuing to make a meaningful impact in the field.
